The Atmosphere / Summary

Open style contemporary restaurant serving excellent Turkish food. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very fresh and tasty.

Note there is a very large barbecue where meat is cooked and a counter with meat on display. Both are very visible from the restaurant.

Detail

The food is terrific and reasonably priced so you are going to eat well at Mimosa.

The best bet for a vegan is to select several of the starters as your food. Most of the starters are vegetarian and a significant proporation are vegan. Ask the very helpful staff and they will guide you. Typically 3-5 starter dishes is a very filling meal.

Alternatively you can go for a vegetarian kebab without the cheese (you may get a funny look but it is a good humoured look!).

There are one or two other main courses which it might be possible to serve as vegan options plus they have specials.

Deserts are not brilliant - the only vegan option is a fruit salad type offering. It is really good fruit though and recommended. Make sure you specify no cream etc.

Don't forget to order a Turkish coffee to round of the meal. It is strong and sweet with a taste of cardinom. Very good.

They serve a small but typical selection of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The Turkish beer offering is Efes which I have been unable to confirm as vegan yet. I haven't even started to check out the wines. If anybody can confirm either why please let ERVegans know.

Cost

Typically I spend £15-£20 there including drinks and come out feeling very content.
