Singapore Night

Thursday, 3rd August

Venue: Hitchcock's Vegetarian Restaurant

Attendence: 18

Great night with a good turn out by ERVegans plus lots of others who came to Hitchcock's because they liked the sound of Singapore Night. They were not disapointed. The food was great with lots of colour and hidden tastes that are typical of foods from this region. The finger sized spring rolls, the tofu dishes and the apple pudding were especially appreciated.

Suriname night

Thursday, 14th September

Venue: Hitchcock's Vegetarian Restaurant

Attendence: 16

A very busy Hitchcock's enjoyed its first ever Suriname night and the reaction amongst ERVegans was very favourable. Suriname cuisine has been influenced by many other cultures so the food was very varied and extremely colourful. Several of the dishes had coconut milk in which gave it an exotic taste which went well with the spices used. There was a good mixture of hot-spicey dishes and very fragrant ones which complemented each other well.

The chocolate cake was especially good!

Spanish night

Thursday, 12th October

Venue: Hitchcock's Vegetarian Restaurant

Attendence: 10

Although we were small in numbers Hitchcock's was very busy and with this great serving of Spanish cuisine I am not suprised.

Favourite dish was the vegetable paella.

International vegan day

Wednesday, 1st November

Venue: Hitchcock's Vegetarian Restaurant

Attendence: 16

One new face and lots of happy regulars celebrated International Vegan Day with a feast from around the world cooked up by Bruce. There was lots to choose from and despite dishes from lots of different cultures they all combined to give a great taste.

Special favourites of the night were the sweet chili roast potatos.

Sri Lankan

Tuesday, 28th November

Venue: Hitchcock's Vegetarian Restaurant

Attendence: 14

Wow!

Bruce had just been to a Sri Lankan restaurant in Manchester and was very inspired. The dishes were fantastic from the mini Sri Lankan samosas through the delicious coconut based curies and onto the fabulous chocolate cake.

There was hot stuff, sweet stuff with colour everywhere. A thoroughly splended night with some great conversation and a splash or two of wine!

ERVegans Christmas Party
